Zaparkujte pod vysielacom, pri ceste je turistická znacka, podla ktorej dôjdete na vrchol. Park near the sender, near the way is a sign, which shows the way to the hill. (Vyšehrad) - 829 m nad Nitrianskym Pravnom. Archeologicky skúmaná lokalita od roku 1970. Osídlenie hradiska - doba železná až doba laténska. Vyšehrad bol oddávna predovšetkým strategicky významnou pevnostou na rozhraní Turca a Ponitria a jeho prvoradou úlohou bola kontrola významnej dialkovej cesty (tzv. Jantárovej), ktorá smerovala z Polska cez Turiec do Nitry a dalej na juh. Archeologické pramene dosvedcujú, že svoju funkcnost si hradisko, i ked v zmenšenej miere, udržalo v priebehu 10. a 11. storocia. Znovuobnovenie funkcnosti hradu prebehlo na prelome 13. a 14. storocia v období vlády Matúša Cáka Trencianskeho a v 60. rokoch 15. storocia, ked si na Vyšehrade zriadil svoju operacnú základnu bratrícky velitel Slovácko. Vyšehrad ponúka jedinecný kruhový výhlad na Turiec a Hornonitrie. Cesta na hradisko je zároven aj náucným chodníkom, na ktorom sa návštevník dozvie všetko o histórii, faune a flóre tejto nádhernej lokality. ------------------------------------------------------------ (Vyšehrad) - 829 m over Nitrianske Pravno. Locality have been archeologically explored since 1970. The fort was occupied in the Iron Age. Vyšehrad had been mainly strategically significant fort between Turiec and Ponitrie since long ago and its primary function had been the control of the significant way (called Amber way), that routed from Poland through Turiec to Nitra and further to south. Archeological sources indicant, that the fort kept its function in 10th and 11th century, but in smaller rate. The functionality was restored between the 13th and 14th century - in the period, when Matúš Cák Trenciansky governed, and in 60th years of 15th century, when commander Slovácko built his base here.
