On a dark
and stormy night long ago when pirates sailed the Seven Seas,
the pirate ship North Sea Dragon wrecked upon jagged
rocks along the Santa Cruz coast.
The half-drowned survivors struggled ashore with their pirates
treasure amassed by raiding Spanish ports along the Pacific
Coast.
They hid their treasure chest (filled to the brim with gold
doubloons, rubies, and pieces of eight!) and vowed to a man to
return for their cache.
They built a launch from the wreck of the North Sea
Dragon and went back to sea.
But the unlucky pirates met with more ill-fortune, and none of
them was ever heard from again ....
At least, that is, until the day that you found a
Message in a Bottle and a Treasure
Map!
Enjoy! And happy caching!

dog-friendly park, is only open from Sunrise to Sunset.

Avast there, matey!
This here cache contains one o' two clues needed t' solve for

And write like a pirate when ya post yer log! Or be a scurvey
lubber!
Argghhh!
NOTE: Until I replace the missig cache, I will post the Message
here so that seekers can still find the final:
T’ pirate ship North Sea Dragon originally had a crew o’ 36 jack
tars.
But 5 salts were swept o’erboard during t’ storm near t’ Santa
Cruz coast. And 7 more mates drowned following t’ wreck on t’
rocks.
2 swabs died when we attacked t’ local natives to steal food and
tools. 5 more scurvy dogs died o’ “lead poisoning” when they tried
to steal t’ cache for themselves. And 1 more sea dog fell and broke
his neck when he got too close to a crumbly cliff.
After we hid t’ cache, we took to sea, but we wrecked on more
rocks in a thick fog. I alone survived, stranded on these here
rocks without food or water or t’ means to leave.
In an attempt to make peace with me Maker, I be placing this here
Message and t’ Treasure Map in this bottle and cast them into t’
sea in t’ hope that some day someone may find t’ cache and use its
wealth to do t’ good works that I failed to do during me time on
this here Earth.
