Hidden in the old Cole Spring Picknick Ground. In a blue tool box.
Directions to Geocache:
From Albuquerque take I-40 east to Exit 175 and go north on NM 14. Follow NM 14 approx. 7 miles north to Hiway 536 west (Crest Road).Follow 536W approx. 1.6 miles to Cienega PN Ground. If the gate is closed, park right here. If the gate is open follow the road to the left all the way to the last PN Ground and park @ N 35’ 10.201 W 106’ 23.045. From the Trailhead for Cienega trail follow trail to first trail intersection. Then take Faulty Trail South to N 35’ 08.052 W 106’ 23.468. From here head East down what was the old trail to Cole Spring PG. This section is an easy .1 mile hike down to the old Cole Spring Picnic Ground. Total length of hike is 4.7 miles ONE WAY so plan accordingly.
