History of the 'Narices del Teide'
In 1798 was the last eruption of a volcano in the 'Cañadas del Teide'. It was NOT the best known mount 'Pico del Teide' but the 'Pico Viejo', the small brother of the mount Teide, which erupted on June 9th and sent 12 million cubic meters of lava down to the Cañadas during three months. As a result the 'Narices (nostrils) del Teide' were formed . It is called 'Narices', because it has two main craters. The bigger crater of the narices in my personal eyes is at least as impressive as the crater of the mount Teide.
The Hike
You need good shoes, lots of water and something to eat, as there is no cable car, no restaurant, just nothing. NEVER go alone, mobiles usually do not work there, if you get in trouble. You will probably not meet any people on your way. You also need walking sticks, because the last piece of your way you have to climb up through the lava sand. This last piece is difficulty 5 even if it is not dangerous.
Drive up to the Cañadas and park at: 28°12.852 N 016°40.702 W
You follow the newly and well signed 'Sendero No.28'. On your way you have to answer the following 3 questions to get the Cache Coords:
1) What resides at Coords 28°13.148 N 016°40.882 W :
Solution is : A=24 because the plate disappeared
2) What resides at Coords 28°14.446 N 016°40.521 W :
Junction of pathes B=88
Small house B=99
Big rock B=77
3) What resides at Coords 28°14.764 N 016°40.727 W :
A Cave C=3
A very big egg C=5
A big cactus C=7
Now calculate the Coords of the Cache location according to the following rule:
28°15.(A)(C) N 016°40.(C)(B) W
and you are already done.Have fun.....

Historia de las 'Narices del Teide'
En el año 1798 fué la última erupción de un volcán en las 'Cañadas del Teide'. Eso NOfué el volcán el más conocido el 'Pico del Teide' pero el `Pico Viejo' el pequeño hermano del Teide, que entró en erupción el l 9 de Junio y enviaba 12 milliones de metros de cúbico de lava por abajo en las Cañadas durante tres meses. Eso ha resultado en las 'Narices del Teide'. Se lo llama 'narices' porque tiene dos cráteres principales. El más grande de los dos cráteres en mi opinión es por lo menos asi impresionante, que el cráter del Teide.
La excursión
Desnivel total 600 metros (2050 hasta 2650). Una excursión de 6.5 kilómetros (sólo ida). Dificultad de terreno entre 1 y 5. Estado bueno recomendado.
Buen calzado, mucha agua y comida son imprescindibles porque no hay ni teleférico, ni restaurante, ni nada... JAMÁS vete solo, móviles normalmente no funcionarán, si tendras problemas. Muy probable no encontrarás a nadie durante la excursión. Necesitarás también bastones, porque durante la última parte de la excursión subirás por arena de lava. Esta ultima parte tiene una dificultad de 5 pero no es peligroso.
Conduce a las Cañadas y aparque a: 28°12.852 N 016°40.702 W
Desde el aparcamiento simplemente sigues el 'Sendero No.28'. Durante la excursión debes responder a las preguntas siguentes:
1) Que se encuentra a las coordenadas 28°13.148 N 016°40.882:
Solución: A=24 porque el cartel desaparecó
2) Que se encuentra a las coordenadas 28°14.446 N 016°40.521 W:
Un cruce de caminos B=88
Una casita B=99
Una roca grande B=77
3) Que se encuentra a las coordenadas 28°14.764 N 016°40.727 W:
Una cueva C=3
Un huevo muy grande C=5
Un cactus grande C=7
Ahora calculas las coordenadas del cache segun la regla siguente:

Geschichte der 'Narices del Teide'
Im Jahr 1798 brach zum letzten Mal ein Vulkan in den 'Cañadas del Teide' aus. Es war NICHT der am besten bekannte 'Pico del Teide' sondern der 'Pico Viejo', der kleine Bruder des Teide, der am 9. Juni ausbrach und 12 Millionen Kubikmeter Lavamasse drei Monate lang in die Cañadas schickte. Im Ergebnis entstanden die sogenannten 'Narices (Nasenlöcher) del Teide', so genannt, weil es zwei Hauptkrater gibt. Der größere der beiden Krater ist in meinen Augen zum mindesten genauso eindrucksvoll wie der Krater des Teide.
Die Wanderung
Höhendifferenz 600 Meter (2050 bis 2650). Länge der Wanderung 6.5 Kilometer eine Strecke. Schwierigkeitsgrad 1 bis 5. Gute Kondition empfohlen.
Du brauchst gute Schuhe, viel Wasser und etwas zum Essen, es gibt keine Seilbahn, keine Bar, einfach nichts. Du brauchst auch Wanderstöcke, da Du das letzte Stück über Lavasand aufsteigen mußt. Dieses letzte Stück ist Schwierigkeitsgrad 5 auch wenn es nicht gefährlich ist. Diesen Cache NIEMALS alleine aufsuchen, da auch Handies normalerweise keinen Empfang haben, wenn man Probleme bekommt. Man trifft im Normalfall absolut niemanden auf diesem Weg.

Von der Parkposition aus folge dem neu ausgezeichneten 'Sendero No.28'. Auf Deinem Weg beantworte die folgenden 3 Fragen, um die Cache Koordinaten zu finden:
1) Was befindet sich bei den Koordinaten 28°13.148 N 016°40.882:
Lösung: A=24 , weil das Schild weg ist.
2) Was befindet sich bei den Koordinaten 28°14.446 N 016°40.521 W:
Eine Wegkreuzung B=88
Ein kleines Häuschen B=99
Ein großer Felsen B=77
3) Was befindet sich bei den Koordinaten 28°14.764 N 016°40.727 W:
Eine Höhle C=3
