Lesopark Brezina vdací za svoju existenciu
viacerím ludom, ale azda najviac týmto dvom:
Ludovít Bonaventúra Stárek (1803-1863) sa ako prvý zacal
zaoberat systematickým zalesnovaním kopca nad mestom.
Dlho však nemohol nájst vhodnú drevinu, ktorej by sa tu darilo. Až
nakoniec zistil, že brezám vyhovujú tunajšie podmienky. Kedže to
boli prvé stromy, ktoré tu vyrástli, kopec dostal meno podla nich.
Predtým do 19. storocia sa na lúkach za mestom pásol dobytok,
hlavne kozy. O tom svedcí aj názov Kozí vrch, na ktorom je tiež
geocache.
Gustáv Hano (1921-1997) je druhým z dvojice najvýznamnejších
tvorcov lesoparku. Tento lesník sa staral o mestské lesy v polovici
20. storocia.
Brezina od roku 1907 patrí mestu, a aj vdaka tomu sa z nej
stal takýto pekný lesopark. Vela ludí z mesta sa sem chodí
poprechádzat alebo si zašportovat. Práve na tento ucel tu bola
bežecká kyslíková dráha s rôznymi stanovištami na cvicenie.
Dnes už z nej však vela neostalo.
Toto je jednoduchá rodinná skrýša.
Vedie k nej cesta. Od hotela Brezina je to lahká
prechádzka.
The existence of forest park "Brezina" is merit
many people but mostly these two:
Ludovít Bonaventúra Stárek (1803-1863) was first who started
to systematically afforestation of the hill over the
town. It took much time to find good species of tree which to grown
here. He discovered that birches like conditions on this
hill. That were first trees which grown here so hill given name
according to birches. Birch in Slovak is "breza" so the name is
"Brezina". Before afforestation (to 19th century) were here veldts.
Witness of it is name of the hiest peak in "Brezina" - "Kozí vrch".

There is geocache, too.
Gustáv Hano (1921-1997) is the second of the pair. This
woodsman was taking care of communal forests in half of the 20th
century.
"Brezina" belong to Trencín town from 1907 and it is one of the
reasons why it is so nice forest park.
This is very easy family cache. There
directs asphalt road. It is easy walk from hotel
"Brezina".
