Sunrise Point on Mt. Nebo is a favorite launching point for those who dare to fly like eagles, on the wings of hang-gliders. If you’re lucky on your visit to this cache, you will be able to witness these fearless souls launch themselves into the void, relying upon just a few pieces of aluminum tubing and some nylon fabric to defy gravity.
To find the cache, you will need to take the Rim Trail, which is accessible from Sunrise Point via a short trail heading west from the rocky precipice. Following the Rim Trail, you will pass just below Sunrise Point and be rewarded with outstanding views south, east, and north as you make your way to the cache area. You will be looking for a regular-size container.
PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN LOOKING FOR THIS CACHE! The hill drops off very steeply from the trail. GPSR accuracy was not very good when I placed the cache. So regardless of what your GPSr tells you, the cache is located on the uphill side of the trail. The hint provides more information if you really need it.
USE THE TRAIL to get to the cache. DO NOT BUSHWHACK! The terrain in this area is VERY STEEP AND DANGEROUS. And do not search after dark!
