Come in and visit the California Welcome Center located in Yucca Valley. The geocache is located inside the building, thanks to Kelly and the Welcome Center staff. Just ask a staff member for the geocache. While you are visiting, learn about the local desert areas as well as the state of California. Don’t forget to sign the Center’s guestbook as well.
This is a great protected cache for travel bugs. Ammo can sized, it can hold trades of various sizes also. The cache is only available during open hours of the center. Currently the hours are: Monday-Saturday 9-5; Sunday 10-4:30. Use the entrance at the rear (parking lot) side rather than the street side. The guest book and counter where the cache is are right inside that door.
