Liecivé úcinky pramenov v okolí Bojníc sú znáne už
dlho. Viaže sa k nim i táto povest:
Kedysi dávno žil v Bojniciach
bohatý Zemepán. Vedel, že vo svojom panstve má neobycajné
bohatstvo - liecivé pramene. Strážil si ich ako oko v hlave a
dokonca sa v nich nik nesmel kúpat. Iba on. Raz však
našiel starého muža, ktorý sa opovážil kúpat v
liecivej vode. Ihned ho vyhnal zo svojich majetkov. Lenže
starý muž stihol vyriect kliatbu: "Nech sa ti všetky
dukáty premenia na kamene!" A tak sa aj stalo. Z bohatého bol zrazu
chudobný pán a všetky jeho skamenené peniaze ostali
ležat pri pramenoch liecivých vôd.
Ako každá povest, aj táto má v sebe kus pravdy.
Skamenené "peniaze" sú skutocne v dnešných Bojnických
kúpeloch, ibaže nie staré niekolko storocí, ale zopár miliónov
rokov. Sú to totiž skameneliny numulitov,
živocíchov zo skupiny dierkavcov, ktoré žili v
tretohorných moriach. Numulity sú zaujímavé hlavne tým, že
sú to jednobunkovce. Najväcšie, aké kedy žili na
tejto planéte. Žili v kolóniach vo vápenatých schránkach a
vdaka tomu sa nám zachovali v tak hojných poctoch. Dosahujú
rozmery od niekolko milimetrov až po niekolko
centimetrov!
Cache je pri rázcestí lesných chodníkov. Najlepší
prístup je od LD Tribec.
Táto cache je tématická. Pre každého úspešného
hladaca je prpravený numulit. Vkladat netreba nic, ale TB
potešia.
Healing springs around Bojnice have known long time ago.
The legend says about them:
One time lived rich lord in Bojnice.
He knew about healing springs and their big value. He guarded them
very carefuly and nobody could have a bath there. Only he. One time
he found old man which dare had a bath. Lord banished him from the
place at the moment. However, old man smited say bane:"All your
money will transform to stones!" It was true. A few days after was
from rich lord only poor man. All his coins have stayed around
springs.
This legend is including a bit of true like every legend.
Stones like coins are there really. They are not old a few
centuries but in fact they are a few milions years old. They are
fosils of numuliths. Numuliths were living in tercier
seas. They are interesting and unque because they are
unicellular organisms. They are the biggest unicellular
organisms which ever lived in the Earth. They were living in
groups in calcific shells and this is the reason why they have not
distroyed. In this area are milions fosils of numuliths. Their
dimensions are from a few milimeters to a few centimeters!
The cache is near a cross of forest trails. The best
access is from the
cahe Spa Bojnice.
