A more challenging walk on mainland
south
For those who want to linger longer in
this park. The trail splits a few hundred meters past Rockingstone
Park Trail Cache # 1, and this is along one of the branches.
Enter from the parking lot at Kidston Lake Beach, just off
Fieldstone. The trail is family friendly for pedestrians and
mountain bikers with modest skills can enjoy it too. It can be
muddy and some short detours may be needed to avoid water. The
cache is about 1.6 k from the trailhead. Unlike #1 or 3, the cache
can not be grabbed from the trail. However, no bushwhacking is
required (or recommended!) Beyond this point the trail enters a
large bog.
