Geocache Description:

The cache is not located at the above coordinates. There is plenty of off street parking available at the parking waypoint listed below.

There is nothing particularly “colonial” about the final location. It’s just convenient and a good quiet spot to bring the little ones (or furry ones) to play. It’s a short walk to The Solent as well. The area may be a bit muddy after rain, but there are plenty of berries to pick at the right time of year.

The cache is a small cylindrical camoflaged rubbermaid type container. It has room for very small trade items only.

A short list of questions, which you should rapidly assess, are related to “The Colonies.”

-The first several U.S. Presidents were born British Subjects. The first President not to be born a British Subject was what number chronologically? Answer = A

-1B colonies unamimously signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776

-Delaware weas the C state to ratify the constitution

-The “Pilgrims” departed England for the North American colonies seeking religious freedom. They landed in the New World in 16D0.

-Massachusetts played a major role in early U.S and colonial history (The Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, Battles of Lexington, Concord and Bunker Hill, the seige of Boston etc). With all this, E Presidents have been born in Massachusetts.

-In 16F6 King James I chartered the Virginia Company to establish a colony in the New World.
