Geocache Description:

A pleasant hike in the Sandia Foothills, with a gentle incline. The closest access to the trail to the cache is at: N 35 10.808, W 106 28.873 which is on Big Horn Ridge Rd. at the eastern border of Sandia Heights.

The Cache is a small camo'd container with tiny toys, since someone stole the original much larger one. Parking is limited along the roadway, and although there are not any "no parking signs", a nearby resident doesn't think anyone should park there (and has been putting a paper on windshields saying so. Thus, you might want to park further away on a side street. Another option is to park at the Tram ($1 fee). From the southeast corner of the tram parking lot, find sign for the Elena Gallegos Trail (# 365) and hike southward to the Cache. For a longer hike, park at Elena Gallegos Park (fee area); park in Kiwanis Group Area at N 35 09.958 W 106 28.392 and take trail # 365 northward.
