Geocache Description:

Most Canberra suburbs have either a post office or post office agency in the community store or newsagent. Isaacs is not one of those suburbs. To address this deficiency, I thought it would be a good idea to set up my own Post Office, which is also the first letterbox cache for the ACT (as far as I know, the only other Aussie letterbox caches are in Tassie - at the time of placement).

Not having visited a letterbox cache to date, I thought I would add my own twist. Instead of a traditional log book, there is a pile of blank postcards in the cache. Your mission is this…
1. Select a postcard that appeals to you – perhaps it is a place that you have visited or would like to visit.
2. Write your log in the form of a postcard to me (Tealby) – I love getting mail. You might like to write about your caching adventures or perhaps pretend that you are actually in the postcard location. Don't forget to include the date.
3. Post your completed postcard/log in the plastic sleeve provided. Make sure you stamp your postcard before you post it – I have a rubber stamp you can use, or you might have your own personalised stamp/sticker.

There is a prickly bush guarding the entrance to the PO, but this should not get in your way. There are fallen logs nearby where you can sit and write your postcard. Beware - there are often muggles running, walking, riding in the area.

A good place to park is at the Shepherdson Place roundabout – WP is provided. From this starting point you can also easily visit Brother of Rattus...

Travel bugs and geocoins are always welcome and may be posted here.
