Reinhold Messner - Dolomites

 
Reinhold Messner (born to Brixen-Bressanone, South Tyrol (Italy), September 17, 1944) is an Italian mountaineer, often cited as the greatest mountain climber of all time, noted for making the first solo ascents of Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen and for being the first climber to ascend all fourteen "eight-thousanders" (peaks over 8,000 metres above sea level). Reinhold Messner (Nato a Bressanone - Alto Adige, 17 settembre 1944) è un noto alpinista ed esploratore italiano, da molti considerato il miglior alpinista di sempre. Il suo nome è legato a innumerevoli esplorazioni ed arrampicate ma è noto al grande pubblico per essere stato il primo alpinista ad aver scalato tutti gli ottomila, ossia le quattordici cime che superano gli 8000 metri sul livello del mare.

Before moving itself in the Castel Juval - Vinschgau (1983), Messner has lived to along in this house (N46°38.719 E011°43.152) to St. Magdalena - Villnoss.
This cache is the first in the Reinhold Messner seria. The second is is hidden near the Messner Mountain Museum Firmian. (GCY102)
