Broumovska skupina kostelu 1 - Bozanov Traditional Geocache

Obec Bozanov byla zalozena v polovine 13. stoleti. Jeji dominantou je kostel sv. Mari Magdaleny. Drive zde stal kostel dreveny a to asi 40 m vychodne od nynejsiho. Kostel je pripominan jiz v r. 1384 a byl az do r.1624 kostelem farnim. Zasvecen byl sv. apostolu Bartolomeji. V letech 1604-1621 byl obsazen protestanty. Se stavbou dnesniho kostela se zacalo v roce 1709. Podle neuplnych udaju stavebnich uctu soudime, ze bylo zapocato vychodni vezi a presbytarem, pricemz stary kostel byl asi az do roku 1735 nadale uzivan. Druha stavebni epocha pokracovala mezi lety 1733 - 1734, pote byla stavba prerusena a znovu se zacalo stavet v roce 1738. Stavba byla dokoncena v r. 1743. Architekt tohoto kostela neni presne znam, predpokladame, ze to byl Kilian Ignac Dientzenhofer, ktery pracoval pro brevnovsko-broumovske benediktiny.

Neorientovana novostavba je pripojena ke starsi zapadni vezi a ma centralni dispozici. Lod je zalozena na pudorysu ctverce s okosenymi rohy. Spociva na 8 pilirich, vroubenych sdruzenymi toskanskymi pilastry s melkymi patkami na kolem obihajici trnozi. Pricne ovalne prostory predsine s kruchtou a knezistem jsou protejskove pripojeny na hlavni ose. Bocni steny lodi cleni vzdy trojice vyklenku v sile obvodove zdi, vyklenky na diagonalach lodi maji vlozene empory. Kostel je cihelne klenut. Klenba lodi je v pate proclenena tribokymi vysecemi. Reseni je zjednodusenou a obmenenou variantou kostela sv. Klimenta v Odolena Vode.

Vnitrni architektura je povazovana pri svem slozitem rozcleneni za mistrovske dilo prostoroveho zvladnuti. Rozmery interieru: delka kostela 34,5 m, sirka 17,5 m, z toho delka lodi 16,8 m, delka kneziste 6,5 m, sirka 10 m.. Kostel ma dva bocni oltare. Hlavni oltar je v novobaroknim slohu, pochazi z prvni poloviny tohoto stoleti a byl vytvoren tyrolskymi rezbari. Uprostred oltarniho retablu je socha sv. Marie Magdaleny, patronky kostela, po stranach jsou sochy sv. Josefa a sv. Jana Krtitele.V jednom z bocnich oltaru je zasazen obraz Ukrizovani Pana Jezise v rokokovem ramu. Ve druhem bocnim oltari je obraz Panny Marie. Na hrbitov ke kostelu se prochazi pozdne gotickou branou z 15. stoleti, dochovana z doby jeste pred zalozenim hrbitova.

V blizkosti kostela se nachazela budova zvana "widmut" patrne jeste z 15. stoleti, ktera byla urcena pro kaplana. V roce 1928 vsak byla zborena. Timto zmizela posledni hrazdena pamatka na Broumovsku. Za zminku stoji take Immaculata stojici u silnice pod kostelem. Jedna se o praci mistniho umelce z konce 18. stoleti.

The original church in Božanov is mentioned in the eldest sources already in the 14th century and it was sacrificed to St. Bartholomew. The construction of the new church of St. Mary Magdalene started in 1709 probably in accordance with the design by Christoph Dientzenhofer. It is not possible to ascertain to what stage the church was constructed and when the construction was interrupted because the construction accounts from the next years have not been preserved. It is deemed the construction started with the eastern tower and the sanctuary, the old church still being used until 1735. The second construction stage performed already in accordance with the new project by Kilian Ignaz Dietzenhofer started after rather a long pause in 1733 and the church was finished as a whole in 1743. The Church of St. Mary Magdalene stands in the middle of the village near the crossing of two historical roads in the dominant position on a hill in the middle of a churchyard enclosed by stone wall. The body of the church is based on the floor projection of a quadrate with cut corners. The cross-wise oval premises of the entrance hall with organ loft and chancel are parallely connected to the main axle. The great new-baroque altar dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. In the middle of the altar retable, there is a statue of St. Mary Magdalene, the patron of the church, the statues of St. Joseph and St. John the Baptist are on the sides.

The baroque churches, the so-called "Broumov Group", built on the territory of the Broumov monastic estate in accordance with the plans of Christoph Dientzenhofer and his son Kilian Ignaz form a unique architectural landmark of the region. The churches were built in a relatively short time, in the period 1709-43. They are a result of unusual building and economic boom initiated by abbot Otmar Zinke - a very capable provost of the Benedictine monastery of Brevnov-Broumov. Despite the unquestionable economy of their design, these country churches bear a seal of uniqueness and creative originality worthy of the well-known name of its authors -- father and son the Dientzenhofers. In particular the following buildings are concerned: the Church of St. Procope in Bezdekov, the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Božanov, the Church of St. Wenceslas in Broumov, the Church of All Saints in Hermánkovice, the Church of St. Barbara in Otovice, the Church of St. James the Bigger in Ruprechtice, the Church of St. Margaret in Šonov, the Church of St. Michael in Vernérovice, the Church of St. Anne in Vižnov and the Chapel of Virgin Mary (also called the Star) on the border of the Broumov Cliffs.

Die ursprüngliche Kirche in Božanov wird in den ältesten Geschichtsquellen bereits im 14. Jahrhundert erwähnt. Geweiht wurde sie dem Hl. Bartolomej. Der Bau der neuen Kirche der Hl. Maria Magdalena begann 1709, wahrscheinlich nach Vorlage des Christoph Dientzenhofers. Da keine Baurechnungen aus den nachfolgenden Jahren erhalten blieben, konnte nicht festgestellt werden, wie weit man damals mit dem Bau kam und wann die Arbeiten abgebrochen wurden. Man geht davon aus, dass der Bau des Ost-turms und des Presbyteriums eingeleitet wurde, wobei man die alte Kirche noch bis 1735 weiter genutzt hat. Die zweite Bauetappe, die bereits nach einem neuen Projekt des Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer lief, begann nach einer längeren Pause im Jahr 1733. Die Fertiggestellung erfolgte dann 1743. Die Kirche der Hl. Maria Magdalena steht in der Dorfmitte in der Nähe der Kreuzung zweier historischer Wege, in einer dominanten Lage auf einer Anhöhe inmitten des mit einer Steinmauer umgebenen Friedhofs. Das Kirchenschiff hat einen viereckigen Grundriss mit abgeschrägten Ecken. Der diagonal-ovaler Vorhallenraum mit Chor und Presbyte-rium schließen gegenüberliegend an die Hauptachse an. Der Hauptaltar im neubarocken Stil stammt aus dem Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts. In der Mitte des Altarretabels steht eine Statue der Hl. Maria Magdalena, der Patronin der Kirche, die Seiten zieren Statuen des Hl. Josef und des Hl. Johannes des Täufers.

Als eine einzigartige architektonische Sehenswürdigkeit der Region gelten die Barock-kirchen der sog. "Broumov-Gruppe", gebaut auf den Ländereien der Klosterherrschaft von Broumov nach Vorlage des Christoph Dientzenhofer und seines Sohnes Kilian Ignaz. Die Kirchen wurden innerhalb einer relativ kurzen Zeit gebaut, zwischen 1709 - 43. Sie entstanden als Folge eines ungewöhnlichen Bau- und Wirtschafts-booms, aus der Initiative des Abtes Otmar Zinke -eines sehr tüchtigen Vorstehers der Benediktinerabtei von Brevnov-Broumov. Diese Landkirchen zeugen, trotz ihrer unbestritten sparsamen Lösung, von Einzigartigkeit und künstlerischer Originalität ihrer berühmten Autoren - Vater und Sohn Dientzenhofer. Es handelt sich um folgende Bauten: Kirche des Hl. Prokop in Bezdekov, Kirche der Hl. Maria Magdalena in Božanov, Kirche des Hl. Wenzels in Broumov, Kirche Aller Heiligen in Hermánkovice, Kirche der Hl. Barbara in Otovice, Kirche des Hl. Jakob des Größeren in Ruprechtice, Kirche der Hl. Marketa in Šonov, Kirche des Hl. Michael in Vernérovice, Kirche der Hl. Anna in Vižnov und die Kapelle der Jungfrau Maria (auch „Hvezda" (Stern) genannt) auf dem Kamm der Broumov Felswände.
