Obec Sonov byla zalozena ve druhe
polovine 13. stoleti nemeckymi kolonisty. V obci stal dreveny
kostel sv. Jana Evangelisty, ktery jiz v roce 1354 odvadel desatky.
V letech 1547 a 1688 byl opravovan, ale bohuzel roku 1775 shorel.
Nyni na jeho miste stoji kaple P. Marie. Po zaniku tohoto kostela
presla farnost ke kostelu sv. Markety, ktery lezi o samote na vrchu
zapadne nad obci. Za svuj vznik vdeci zejmena broumovskemu opatu
Otmaru Zinkemu. Stavba probihala v letech 1727 - 1730. Kostel byl
postaven pravdepodobne podle planu Kiliana Ignace Dietzenhofera,
autorstvi vsak vyplyva pouze z jeho cinnosti pro
brevnovsko-broumovske benediktiny. Koncem 18. stoleti byla
pristavena bocni predsin a drevena kruchta.
Stavba je zajimave orientovana stitovou zdi s vezemi smerem k
Broumovskemu klasteru, ktery je k spatreni jen z kruchty nebo vezi.
Ma velmi clenity pudorys a je hladce omitana s vyplnemi a s vrhanou
omitkou. Na zapadni strane uhlopricne vycnivaji z jedine lodi veze,
na vychode sakristie a depozitar. Zapadni pruceli je vystaveno do
stitu, ktery je ukoncen zalomenou rimsou, vytocenou uprostred
obloukem. Pod celou budovou je podlozen trnoz z tesaneho piskovce,
na kterem stoji steny doplnene toskanskymi pilastry. Strecha lodi
je sedlova, nad knezistem zvalbena. Ctyrboke dvoupatrove veze jsou
prevedeny ve vysokych nabezich na osmiboke, zvonovite bane,
ukoncene na hrotech prolaklymi kuzely.
Uvnitr kostel meri 31m na delku a 12m na sirku, ale svou bohatou
clenitosti pusobi vetsim dojmem nez doopravdy je. Samotna lod je
25m dlouha, 12m siroka a je v rozich obrnena dorskymi pilastry,
jejiz kladi saha az pod strop. Kneziste zdobi pulkruhovy vitezny
oblouk s vroubenymi pilastry. Samotne kneziste ma steny s jonskymi
pilastry, je zaklenuto v obdelnem poli ceskou plackou a je 5x5
metru velke. Nad kruchtou se pne elipticky pas. Stavba ma sest
vchodu, z toho tri vedou do predsine a tri do lodi. Vsechny vchody
jsou umisteny v kamennem osteni. Tri postranni vchody uprostred
lodi vedou do predsine, do sakristie a do depositare. Okna jsou
umisteny v kamennem osteni a jsou trojich tvaru. Malbu kostela
provedl v roce 1867 Frantisek Srutek z Nachoda.
Zvony v chramu sv. Markety byly v roce 1916 rekvirovany (4 ze 3)
pro valecne ucely. Proto byly v roce 1927 porizeny zvony nove od
Oktava Wintra z Broumova. Tyto zvony az na jeden byly opet
zrekvirovany v druhe svetove valce. Zvon ktery zustal byl v
devadesatych letech prevezen na vez klasterniho kostela v
Broumove.
Na hrbitove v obci stoji pseudogoticka kaple Panny Marie Ruzencove
z druhe poloviny minuleho stoleti. Relief sv. Vojtecha, ktery byl
kdysi umisten ve hrbitovni zdi, je nyni v broumovskem muzeu. Na
hrbitove je hrob dvou benediktinskych knezi, zastrelenych brutalne
revolucnimi bojuvkami v roce 1945. Mobiliar kostela sv. Markety byl
castecne rozkraden, zbytek ulozen v depositari.
CHURCH OF ST. MARGARET,
ŠONOV
Already in the 14th century, there was a wooden church of St. John
the Evangelist standing in the middle of the village, which was
later replaced by a new-gothic chapel of Virgin Mary. Today Church
of St. Margaret stands alone on a hill on the west above
Šonov. Its construction started in 1726 and it was completed
probably four years later. Also in this case, the authorship is
ascribed to Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer. The orientation of the
church is interesting - its gable wall is orientated towards the
Broumov monastery, which can be seen from there. The base of the
floor projection is a prolate octagon, next to the six shorter
sides forming both ends, there are other premises: next to the
entrance front, there is a pair of prismatic towers with
wide-stretching entrance block between the two of them and two
sanctuaries at the end with the chancel in the middle. The building
has six entrances, three leading to the church hall and three to
the body. Originally, the church had altogether four bells, most of
them were however embargoed in the World War One. In 1927, three
bells were newly purchased, which were made by the Broumov bell
workshop of Octavus Winter. But even those were, except for one,
confiscated in the World War Two and the bell that was left was
later taken to the tower of the monasterial church in Broumov. The
interior of the Šonov church was substantially damaged and
stolen, church services have not been performed there for several
years.
The
Broumov Group of Churches
The baroque churches, the
so-called "Broumov Group", built on the territory of the Broumov
monastic estate in accordance with the plans of Christoph
Dientzenhofer and his son Kilian Ignaz form a unique architectural
landmark of the region. The churches were built in a relatively
short time, in the period 1709-43. They are a result of unusual
building and economic boom initiated by abbot Otmar Zinke - a very
capable provost of the Benedictine monastery of Brevnov-Broumov.
Despite the unquestionable economy of their design, these country
churches bear a seal of uniqueness and creative originality worthy
of the well-known name of its authors -- father and son the
Dientzenhofers. In particular the following buildings are
concerned: the Church of St. Procope in Bezdekov, the Church of St.
Mary Magdalene in Božanov, the Church of St. Wenceslas in
Broumov, the Church of All Saints in Hermánkovice, the Church of
St. Barbara in Otovice, the Church of St. James the Bigger in
Ruprechtice, the Church of St. Margaret in Šonov, the Church
of St. Michael in Vernérovice, the Church of St. Anne in
Vižnov and the Chapel of Virgin Mary (also called the Star) on
the border of the Broumov Cliffs.
KIRCHE DER HL. MARGARETE,
ŠONOV
Bereits im 14. Jahrhundert stand in
der Mitte der Gemeinde die Holzkirche des Hl. Johann Evangelist, an
deren Stelle später die neugotische Kapelle der Jungfrau Maria
gebaut wurde. Die heutige Kirche der Hl. Margarete steht
abgeschieden auf einem Berg westlich von Šonov. Der Bau der
Kirche begann 1726, fertiggestellt wurde sie vermutlich vier Jahre
später. Auch hier wird die Vorlage Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer
zugeschrieben. Die Giebelwand der Kirche mit Türmen ist
interessanter Weise dem Kloster von Broumov zugewandt, das man von
hier sehen kann. Die Basis vom Kirchengrundriss bildet ein
langgezogenes Achteck, an die sechs kürzere, abschließende Seiten
binden weitere Räumlichkeiten an: an der Eingangsfront zwei
Prismentürme mit breit gewölbtem Eingangsblock dazwischen und am
Ende zwei Sakristeien mit einem Presbyterium in der Mitte. Das
Gebäude hat insgesamt sechs Eingänge, davon drei führen in den
Kirchenvorraum und drei in das Schiff. Ursprünglich hatte die
Kirche insgesamt vier Glocken, der Großteil von ihnen wurde jedoch
während des ersten Weltkriegs requiriert. Im Jahre 1927 wurden bei
der Glockengießerei des Octav Winter in Broumov drei neue Glocken
in Auftrag gegeben. Auch die sind jedoch, bis auf eine, während des
zweiten Weltkriegs beschlagnahmt worden. Die übriggebliebene Glocke
wurde später in den Turm der Klosterkirche in Broumov gebracht. Das
Interieur der Kirche von Šonov wurde stark beschädigt und
ausgeraubt, Gottesdienste finden hier seit einigen Jahren keine
mehr statt.
Die
Kirchengruppe von Broumov
Als eine einzigartige
architektonische Sehenswürdigkeit der Region gelten die
Barock-kirchen der sog. "Broumov-Gruppe", gebaut auf den Ländereien
der Klosterherrschaft von Broumov nach Vorlage des Christoph
Dientzenhofer und seines Sohnes Kilian Ignaz. Die Kirchen wurden
innerhalb einer relativ kurzen Zeit gebaut, zwischen 1709 - 43. Sie
entstanden als Folge eines ungewöhnlichen Bau- und
Wirtschafts-booms, aus der Initiative des Abtes Otmar Zinke -eines
sehr tüchtigen Vorstehers der Benediktinerabtei von
Brevnov-Broumov. Diese Landkirchen zeugen, trotz ihrer unbestritten
sparsamen Lösung, von Einzigartigkeit und künstlerischer
Originalität ihrer berühmten Autoren - Vater und Sohn
Dientzenhofer. Es handelt sich um folgende Bauten: Kirche des Hl.
Prokop in Bezdekov, Kirche der Hl. Maria Magdalena in Božanov,
Kirche des Hl. Wenzels in Broumov, Kirche Aller Heiligen in
Hermánkovice, Kirche der Hl. Barbara in Otovice, Kirche des Hl.
Jakob des Größeren in Ruprechtice, Kirche der Hl. Marketa in
Šonov, Kirche des Hl. Michael in Vernérovice, Kirche der Hl.
Anna in Vižnov und die Kapelle der Jungfrau Maria (auch
„Hvezda" (Stern) genannt) auf dem Kamm der Broumov
Felswände.
