På 1600-talet började man bryta järn- och
kopparmalm runt Ramundberget. Brytningen i området pågick
till andra hälften av 1800-talet, och har lämnat tydliga
spår i naturen. Denna del av Norrgruvorna är kanske det
mest tacksamma att besöka eftersom gruvgångarna är
lättframkomliga. Notera dock att alla besök i gruvan sker
på egen risk.
Den knappt 2 km långa vandringen från Ramundberget
bjuder på vacker natur och fina vyer över Ljusnans
dalgång.
Koordinaterna tar dig till en plats rakt ovanför. Gå
in genom en av ingångarna till gruvan för att hitta
cachen. Ta gärna med en ficklampa för att slippa famla i
mörker! Inga stenar behöver flyttas för att hitta
lådan.
During the 17th century, iron and copper mining started around
Ramundberget. The mining went on until the second half of the 19th
century, and has left visible marks in the nature. Perhaps this
part of "Norrgruvorna" is the most rewarding to visit since the
tunnels here are very easy accessible. Please note that all visits
to the mine are at your own risk.
The 2 km hike from Ramundberget is beautiful, and offers some
nice views over the valley of river Ljusnan.
The coordinates will take you to a spot right above. Use one of
the entrances to the mine to get to the cache. Please bring a
flashlight if you want to avoid fumbling in the dark! You do not
have to move any rocks to find the cache.
