Najstejn…field remainders of medieval castle on the rocky
promontory. First mentions of the castle are from 1363. Another
historical sources of information talk about later assignation to
Teutonic Order. It’s almost-certain that the castle was
abandoned in the late 14.century.
Opušten asi byl, nikdo tam totiž nebyl :-). Stopy po
jiných návštevnících tam byly, ale velice málo. Doporucuji
nárocnejší cestu z Jirkova po pravé strane potoka, který
vytéká z Jirkovské prehrady. Je to terén, který hodnotím st. 4 -
svah 70-75 stupnu, místy skály, ale když se pres toto
dostanete k vlastní hrázi, je to nezapomenutelný pohled. Dále vás
dovede GPS :-) Pozor je tam vodní pásmo, tak se radši
nekoupejte, i když mi to dnes lákalo. Druhá možnost je z
vesnice Orasín - nárocnost 1,5. Tak jako tak se dostanete pod
vlastní Nanštejn a ceká vás svah kolem 65 stupnu nebo
mužete využít puvodní prístupovou cestu. Kolo
nedoporucuji. Nadmorská výška 598 m. Ve svahu jsou na
padlých stromech nádherné a velké choroše. Po najití
kešky si zajdete pár metru JV na vyhlídku, ze které vidíte
prehradu, mesto Chomutov a pri dobré viditelnosti i dále.
Thats true because nobody was there :-). There are some signs of
other visitors, but not so much of them. I advice you more exacting
access way from Jirkov. You can go on the right side of the stream
which flows from Jirkov’s water reservoir. I rate local
terrain for a four* - hillside of 70-75 degrees, some rocks. But
it’s unforgettable view if you pass it and reach the dam.
There is hygienic protection zone so don’t swim in the
reservoir. Alternatively you can go from Orasin village –
terrain 1,5*. Anyway, you will be under Najstejn itself and then
there is hillside of 65 degrees or you can go by original access
way. Bike isn’t recommended. There are big and superb
polyporuses on the fallen trees. After you find a cache, go some
few meters to southeast and there is view point from which you can
see water reservoir, town of Chomutov and maybe more.
