Vesnice Holasovice se nachazi na severnim okraji Blanskeho lesa a je UNESCEM chranenou ukazkou architektury tzv. selskeho baroka v jiznich Cechach.

The Holasovice village is located in the northern border of "Blansky les". It is an UNESCO protected example of so called "rural baroque" architecture in South Bohemia.
Selske baroko / The folk baroque
Obec Holasovice je od roku 1998 zapsana do Seznamu svetoveho dedictvi UNESCO. Je zde temer stoprocentne dochovany stredoveky system razeni dvaadvaceti jednotlivych usedlosti se stitovymi prucelimi obytnych domu a sypek, propojenych ohradnimi zdmi s brankami a klenutymi vjezdy na naves. Bohata stukova vyzdoba vetsiny pruceli vychazi z tradic baroka a doklada jeho sverazne pretvoreni do venkovskeho prostredi, nazyvane proto tzv. selskym barokem.

Z duvodu lehke premudlenosti Holasovic zejmena v letnich mesicich je soucasna verze kese ukryta zcela mimo obec - na miste, ktere skyta pekny vyhled na vesnicku a okolni krajinu.

In 1998, this village was registered in the UNESCO List of World Heritage. The medieval system of alignment of the individual residences with gabled fronts to the residential houses and granaries, which are connected to the village green by enclosing walls with gates and arched entrances, is almost perfectly preserved. The rich stucco decoration of the majority of the fronts, which has its origin in Baroque traditions, documents the Baroque's distinctive adaptation to rural architecture. That is why this style is called the rustic Baroque.

Because of quite heavy muggle-traffic in Holasovice the current version of the cache is hidden out of the village - in the place with a nice view of Holasovice and surrounding landscape.
