Geocache Description:

A quick cache and dash to break up the journey north on the A90

The cairn in this layby was erected to honour the roots of Scotlands national Poet Robert Burns, whose father, William Burness farmed at Clochnahill in Aberdeenshire before moving south to Ayrshire. he eventually settled in Alloway where Robert was born.

The cairn overlooks Clochnahill to the NE
