Sudoku, sometimes spelled Su Doku, is a logic-based placement puzzle. The aim of the puzzle is to enter a numerical digit from 1 to 9 in each cell of a 9 × 9 grid made up of 3 × 3 subgrids (called "regions"), starting with various digits given in some cells (the "givens"). Each row, column, and region must contain only one instance of each numeral. Completing the puzzle requires patience and logical ability. Although first published in a U. S. puzzle magazine in 1979, Sudoku initially caught on in Japan in 1986 and attained international popularity in 2005.
The cache is a normal size plastic container with the usual geocaching information, log book pencil and exchange items. Please be careful to replace the container exactly where you found it. I originally placed it in the wild on 2005-06-22 but now, 1 year later, I have got around to activating it. Checked on the cache and it is in good condition and dry.

As there were four solutions to the puzzle shown I had a choice of increasing the difficulty level or simplifying the puzzle. Rather than losing visitors to both the cache and the surrounding area which is quite pleasant I have simplified the puzzle. Kudos to those who solved the difficult one!
Good luck.
