It is fall time again and that means the annual picnic of the
Lehigh Valley Cachers and friends. Please join us for a fun day of
caching and conversation. This will be a “bring your own picnic” as
this leaves everyone to do their own thing and to better enjoy the
day.
Date: SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 24 2006
Place: South Mountain Park (Bethlehem)
Time: 12 noon until 9pm
but we have the pavilion from 7:00 am until 9:00pm for those
die-hard cachers who want to get in a few caches. This pavilion is
located at the top of the hill.
There will again be a chinese auction around 3:00 pm. Please let
me know in advance of what you are donating so I can get the ticket
bag(s) ready. The less I have to do the day of this event, the more
I can enjoy the day with you.
If anyone is interested in placing a permanent cache in this
park, I have an application form that needs to be filled out from
the city of Bethlehem. They are cooperating with us, so lets not
spoil anything. Contact me and I will see that you get this form
and the guidelines that they wish us to follow.

Update 9/06/06: Email me the item(s) that you will be donating
for the chinese auction so I can get the ticket bags ready. Also
travel bugs are welcomed. Just drop them in. There will be several
games this year that I am sure you all will enjoy and a prize for
the winners. So far groundspeak, geoclues, and buji has graciously
donated some items.
This event is RAIN or SHINE, we are, after all, GEOCACHERS!
UPDATE 9-19-06 I could use some volunteers to handle the games
and sell the tickets for the auction. Please let me know if you
will help. Thanks. We will be there early to set up some of the
games. So far the weather looks promising.
