This cache is on the island that the Chattahoochee 9 marker is next to.
You will need water transportation to reach this cache.
The listed coordinates bring you to an Army Corp of Engineers benchmark. The benchmark was placed on this spot in 1955 just before the lake was born, and just before this island became an island.
Update: the actual geo disk has been removed. You can see where the cement stump has been cut. Not sure why, if the corp took it our someone stole it? The orange plastic marker is still there.
The shoreline around the Chattahoochee 9 marker is pretty rough. The closest beach landing to this cache is on the North side of the island.
