Kalvaria je jednym z
najkrajsich vyhladovych miest v Nitre. Z vrcholu, ktory prevysuje
okolity teren o 80 metrov, je kruhovy vyhlad na dominanty mesta,
Sibenicny vrch, cely hreben Zoborskych vrchov a pri dobrej
dohladnosti i na vzdialenejsie pohoria Tribeca, Pohronskeho Inovca,
Vtacnika ci Stiavnickych vrchov.
Nielen vyhlad, ale aj zaujimava priroda laka na
toto miesto mnozstvo domacich obyvatelov. Kalvaria je malou oazou
prirodzenej vegetacie priamo v husto osidlenom intravilane Nitry.
Vacsinu plochy Kalvarie tvoria vzacne teplo a suchomilne
(xerotermne) rastlinne spolocenstva stepneho charakteru. V
okrajovych castiach, najma na zapadnom okraji vrchu zdobia skalne
zrazy spolocenstva skalnych strbin a sutin. Najkrajsie je tu na
jar, ked vacsina rastlin zakvitne. Pridte sa pozriet,
neolutujete.
Kalvaria je pristupna takmer zo vsetkych stran, ale
najpohodlnejsi pristup je od klastora, kde sa da zaparkovat.
Prosim, snazte sa pouzivat vychodene cesticky. Dve z nich vas
dovedu par metrov od ukrytu. Skor nez vyrazite, mozete navstivit
domovsku stranku mesta Nitra (linky nizsie), kde sa dozviete o
Kalvarii omnoho viac. Pekne zazitky.

Calvary is one of the most beautiful view
places in Nitra. From the top of this hill, which is higher then
the surrounding terrain by 80 meters, you have a panoramic view at
the city's dominants, Sibenicny Vrch (hill), the whole crest of
Zoborske Vrchy (hills) and with a good sight even the distant
mountains of Tribec, Pohronsky Inovec, Vtacnik and/or Stiavnicke
Vrchy.
It is not only the view, but also the interesting nature, what
invites lots of local residents to this place. Calvary is a little
oasis of natural flora directly in the middle of populous Nitra.
The most of the Calvary surface consist of rare thermophillic and
xerophillic vegetation of savannah kind. In the peripheral sides,
mainly in the west part of the hill, the rocky cliffs are decorated
by stony clefts and debris. The most beautiful period here is the
spring, when the most of the plants is in flower. Come and see, you
will not regret.
Calvary is accessible almost from all sides, but the most
comfortable access is from the cloister, where you can park too.
Please try to stay to the available paths. Two of them will bring
you just cup of meters away of the hiding place. Enjoy the
experience.
