THis a farm track which sometimes is in use for dumping cans etc

Somewhere in the series is a first to find pin. Apart from the first Caches you will need to go in order to save yourself time and money. I make no apologise for the amount of traveling involved. All caches are reasonably close to other caches. For those of you who want to be the first to complete the series there is a monetary voucher for First to Find and Second to Find to help with the cost of the petrol.(just to add another dimension to the series)In the series i have used Micro's except for the first and last cache all are off the ground unless clues are given otherwise. there are 4 nano micros, 6 new micro's i've never used. 2 35mm and of course a pine cone (i've still got one left)

The above co-ordinates are for the Museum. Take some time to have a look around if you go into the control tower building and up the stairs you will find the restaurant where service is sometimes slow because of the number of people but the value for money you will be hard pressed to beat and you get great views of the aircraft (I’m trying hard to persuade the curator to allow me to turn one of the full size replica planes into a TB as they take them to exhibitions as well),

What's Here:
During World War Two, Sleap was a Bomber Command training base. From January 1944 it was used to train glider pilots for the airborne assaults of D-Day and Arnhem. Through the co-operation of the Shropshire Aero Club, the Wartime Aircraft Recovery Group operates a museum on the site. This all-volunteer group investigates crash sites and recovers and displays artifacts as a memorial to pilots that gave their lives operating in the Shropshire area during World War II. The displays include a number of aero engines, and a reconstruction of an airfield Flight Office.
Location:
Sleap Aerodrome, south west of Wem, Shropshire. Wem is on the B5476 north of Shrewsbury, and Sleap can be reached from a 'C' road off the B5476.
Opening Hours:
Open every Second and Fourth Sunday in the month from May to October. Other times by prior arrangement.
