Geocache Description:

IMPORTANT!! This cache has been placed on private property, with the very kind and gracious permission of the landowners. ANY sightings or reports of cachers cutting across private property *will* cause this cache to be archived! I've given both the landowners and the cache approvers my word, so please use the main SNA entrance ONLY as described below...thanks for your understanding!

Cache Details

Come enjoy a nice hike in the 221-acre Wolsfeld Woods SNA, one of the last remnants of the original Big Woods forest still standing! This is a companion cache to "Wolsfeld Woods" (GCN5N0) by Krewe of Borstads. I enjoyed the walk to that one so much, that I decided to hide another one so that more people can explore this beautiful area!

Like the other cache, the only way to get to this one is a .75 mile hike through the Wolsfeld Woods Scientific & Natural Area, where you'll find the cache just outside the boundary of the SNA. You will find hills, mud and/or ice, bugs, and a stream to cross on your way - but I think you'll enjoy the hike just the same.

Location, Parking, and Access

The only legal parking for Wolsfeld Woods SNA is at the Trinity Lutheran Church, just off of Hwy 6. You will find free parking and the trailhead there, at N 44° 59.962 W 093° 34.438. ANY other access to the Wolsfeld Woods will take you across private property, be sure to enter the SNA here and only here!

No bushwhacking is required or allowed while in the SNA, please walk lightly and stay on the clearly-marked trails. Be sure to check the trail map before you get too far in...to get to this cache, turn LEFT at marker location 11, and follow the trails all the way to where you'll find the cache, right at marker location 13. (If you do the other cache first, turn right at marker location 11!)

You are looking for an 8-cup Lock 'n Lock container, filled with the usual new toys and trinkets, a travel bug, and a GeoFaex Geocoin. Because I don't want anyone walking all that way just to get skunked, I'll post a complete spoiler as a hint. I hope you enjoy your walk through this unique and historical area...as always - thanks, have fun, and happy hunting!
