Geocache Description:

This is a night time cache and is located in the Watchung Reservation situated in Union County. Access to the area can be had off of I.S. 78E, exit 45, or Rt. 22 at Summit Rd., New Providence Rd., or Glenside Ave. The most direct approach is Glenside Ave. and going left on Sky Top Dr. Parking is at the Sky Top picnic area about 0.3 mi. West of Glenside Ave. The coordinates for parking are: N40 40.223 W074 23.584

The posted coordinates take you to the starting point where you will have to find the the first reflectorized marker on a tree. Begin on the white trail, which crosses Sky Top Dr. at this point, and head away in a SE direction from the open field and driveway that leads to a pavilion. Look for white blazes on the trees and follow the white trail to a four way intersection. At this point the white trail turns right.(You'll be coming out that way if all goes well) Proceed a short distance straight ahead on an unmarked trail (be careful of some logs across the trail) to the posted coordinates and the starting point. Scan the woods to the right or west with your flashlight to pick up the first reflectorized marker and the trail and maneuver your way to the end by following the markers on the trees to the end indicated by three verticle markers in a row. There are a total of 12 red reflectorized markers on trees with the cache at the last one. The beginning can be a little soggy, but only after heavy rain. The cache is a clear lock & lock tupperware type container located in the stump at the end of a decaying fallen tree. It can be found by facing the three markers and looking on the ground to the right.
Helpful note: The two markers, just before the three markers indicating the end, means you have crossed the white trail. It is less than 75 feet from the cache. Follow the white trail NE a short way to get back to the four way intersection. Turn left to the parking area. If you get turned around, the white trail and road run parallel very close to each other, and is in a NW direction.
ENJOY THE HUNT!
