Esta cache é uma das cinco criadas especialmente para a cache-evento Geocaching na Escola II, realizado a convite do Núcleo de Estudantes de Gestão do Lazer e Animação Turística da Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril (ESHTE), no dia 20 de Maio de 2006. O percurso para encontrar todas as caches desenrola-se junto à costa marítima entre o Guincho e a Biscaia.
Esta “cachada” levar-nos-á a revisitar personagens da nossa infância, ao mesmo tempo que escaranfuchamos à procura dos famosos tupperwares. Para os debutantes será uma mistura de emoções passadas, trazidas por filmes que eventualmente agradaram, com a descoberta de uma nova aventura: o Geocaching!

This cache is one of five created especially for the 20th of May event cache “Geocaching na Escola II” resulting from an invitation by the student chapter of the Hotel and Tourism school in Estoril. The geocaching hike will take place along the coast the Guincho- Biscaia area.
This geocaching hike will take you back to revist some of the favourite characters from your childhood whilst you dig around and scrounge for the famous tupperwares. For the debutants, this will be a mixture of past emotions brought to the fore by past films while discovering new adventures, namely geoacaching!

Quem é que não adivinhava que de um único ovinho cor de laranja, nasceria um peixinho cor de laranja com uma barbatana maior que a outra?
Quem é que adorou ver o Pai cauteloso levar o seu filho pela barbatana à escolinha no recife?
Quem é que ficou com o coração aos pulos quando o pequeno e teimoso Nemo foi apanhado pelo mergulhador?
Quem é não gostou da viagem épica do Marlin e da Dori pelo oceano fora?
Quem é que não gostou de ver o Nemo vencer o seu medo no aquário do dentista?
Quem é que não chorou baba e ranho quando finalmente o Marlin encontrou o seu querido filho Nemo?
Pois é! O pior é que os produtores do filme, a Pixar, decidiu terminar o filme no ponto onde tudo acaba bem e todos vivem felizes para sempre mesmo com uma barbatana mais pequena. Uma edição “Director’s Cut” está prestes a ser comercializada em Portugal onde se mostra o que realmente aconteceu além desse ponto todo cor de rosa.
A realidade é que o Nemo e o Pai Marlin foram pescados por um barco de pesca japonês, e desta vez não houve força qualquer de 300000 sardinhas que os salvassem, que imediatamente os transformou em…….sushie!
Who did not guess that from a small round, orange egg would hatch the cutest clown fish around?
Who loved to see the over cautious dad take his by the fin to school in the bottom of the ocean?
Whose heart did not leap at the sight of Nemo being caught by the strange diver?
Who did not enjoy the epic ocean voyage by Marlin and Dori?
Who did not applaud at the sight of seeing Nemo win over his fears in the Dentist’s fish tank?
Who did not shed a tear at the sight of Marlin and Nemo reunited?
That is all good and perfect. However, it is now a fact that Pixar decided to end the movie at the point where all ends well and live happily ever after even though one of them has a shorter fin.
A new edition of the movie, a sort of “Director’s Cut”, will soon be available where the naked and horrible truth of this story does come to the end.
As Nemo and Marlin were making their way back home, they were caught in the nets of a Japanese trawler, and this time the harnessing of 300000 sardines swimming in unison served no purpose, and were subsequently turned into …….sushi!

CachePara aqueles que não gostam de sushi, a cache foi colocada num local a pensar em vós! Por isso, encontra-se escondida perto de um dos fornos de cal existentes na zona. Assim, podem descer ao forno e cozinharem o vosso peixinho à vossa maneira.
O acesso ao forno é íngreme mas curto. Espreitem para dentro do forno, onde verão que as suas paredes são construídas de blocos de granito retirados da zona envolvente (são aquelas rochas mais amareladas que viram no vosso caminho até aqui). Agarrado às paredes ainda podem ver que parte deste granito fundiu com as altas temperaturas usadas para cozer o calcário.
(Não destruam as paredes interiores ou exteriores do forno)
The cache
For those who do not particularly like sushi, the cache has been hidden in a spot near a lime kiln. That way, should you wish to cook the little fishie a bit more, feel free to do so.
Access to the entrance of the kiln is through steep terrain but short. Have a look inside the kiln where you will be able to see that it’s walls are made from granite, which are the yellowish rocks you have been walking on for the past hour. Inside the walls of the kiln, you can also see that some parts of the walls have melted as a result of the high temperatures reached inside the kiln as a result of the “cooking” of the limestone.
(Do not destroy the inner or outer walls of the kiln)
