This is a simple multi-stage off-set cache on footpath presented to
the City by John Wordsworth. The 404 Feet does not refer to the
length of the walk or its height above sea level. No its one of the
earliest skyscrapers in England that you will have the occasional
glimpse of whilst walking here. What a shame the trees on the bank
have grown so high; when I was a lad we had an unrestricted view
over Salisbury from this path!
Whether you are walking from the centre of Salisbury or driving to
park close to this walk you will need to head to co-ordinates given
above. This 4 stage cache is on a relatively level path once you
have arrived near the parking point. The difficulty rating is
solely associated with tree cover problems that will affect your
GPS; fortunately there are gaps and a few places where you can walk
into the open and establish a fix. . All points listed are either
on within a few feet of the path you walk, there will be no need to
climb over fences: and you are looking for the values of ABCD &
E. Please take particular care towards the final cache and keep an
eye on any children with you; there is a chalk pit with steep sides
close by. Although this danger is fenced off, there are gaps where
they might try to squeeze through! You will need to walk to each of
the following point and collect the numbers required so please
bring pencil and paper. POINT 1: N 51 03.451 W 001 48.316 John

the year below John Sarum 19D5 POINT 3: N 51° 03.431 W 001° 49.198
Look towards the heavens for a Sign S1E5 POINT 4: The Cache is at
N51° 0(D-A) .(B-A)(E+C)0 W00C° 4B .0AA
