Kätkö sijaitsee Tampereen Alarannassa Laukontorin välittömässä läheisyydessä.
The cache is located in Alaranta of Tampere, next to Laukontori.
Laukontorin satama eli Alaranta on matkustajalaivaliikenteeltään Suomen vilkkain sisävesisatama. Täältä lähtevät Hopealinjan ja Tammerlaivojen alukset reiteilleen ja tilausristeilyille. Täältä on myös mahdollista ottaa "tolpalta" taksivene ja ajattaa itsensä vaikkapa hotelli Rosendahliin tai Edeniin. Yli viiden hengen ryhmälle saattaa taksivene olla jopa hinnaltaan edullisempi kyyti, kuin normaali taksi.
Laukontorilla on nimensä mukaisesti päivittäin tori. Satamassa on myös vierasvenepaikkoja ja veneilijän tarvitsemat peruspalvelut. Tästä on lyhyt matka Tampereen keskustan liikkeisiin.
Laukontori harbour or Alaranta is Finland's busiest inland port. Here you can find the vessels of Silverline and Tammerlaivat and the starting point of their scheduled and charter cruises. Here it is also possible to rent a taxi boat and even drive to Scandic Rosendahl hotel or Spa Hotel Rantasipi Eden.
As the name, Laukontori, implies, there is a daily market on the square. The harbour also provides basic services for visiting boats. And, the city center is just a few blocks away.
