Geocache Description:

Header coordinates are for parking on Branch Brook Road in Wilton. Decode the puzzle below to find the cache location. The trek is about .25 mile from parking to the container; follow the Orange trail.

Indiana Geones, heroic hunter of hidden hordes, is at it again!

While conducting research on ancient cults, Professor Geones learned of the Magus Foresta, a small offshoot of Druidic culture that existed in Connecticut in the mid 18th Century.

Sacred to the Magus Foresta was ‘The Forest Nymph’, an enameled bronze idol that was believed to have magical powers. Those holding the Idol for the first time are said to experience a feeling of euphoria, followed by the urge to seek out other treasures. Sure, it’s not very impressive magic, but in the 18th century it was considered pretty nifty!

Indiana located a scroll inked with strange spiral glyphs. Decoding them led him to the location of the Forest Nymph, but when on route to recover the treasure he was waylaid by a band of Evil Archaeologists! While narrowly escaping capture he managed to lose the scroll, which was found by local teenagers who then auctioned it off on EBay. As the winning bidder I’m happy to share the secret runes with you, and offer you the chance to experience the magic of:

Cache Notes:
The storage space in the container is limited (it’s about the size of a fist), so smaller swag is best. If the cache is full, please feel free to take out some extra items so that there is room to close/seal it properly. FTF prize is a commemorative button, and your choice of a coupon good for a ‘Wandering Walking Stick’ Travel Bug (see my Profile for details), or a 128MB Flash Memory Drive. Please be sure to re-hide the container well after you have found it, as it is at high risk to be muggled. Enjoy!
