Kurz hinter Martigny befindet sich das grosse
Abenteuer! In Les Valettes (an der Strasse zum Grossen St. Bernard)
zweigt die enge Nebenstrasse nach Champex ab. Sie bringt dich in
endlosen Kurven und sehr engen Haarnadeln den Berg hinauf. Oben
erwartet dich ein kleines Seelein und eine Landschaft, welche mich
jedesmal an Kanada errinert (weiss auch nicht genau weshalb...).
Beim "Absteig" nach Orsières hast du wiederum eine grandiose
Aussicht in die walliser Bergwelt. Unten angekommen gelangst du
wieder auf die Strasse welche nach Martigny zurück oder auch zum
Grossen St. Bernard führt.
Ach ja, der Cache ist übrigens nur 115 kleine Schritte von der
Strasse weg ;-)
An adventure starts only few kilometers from Martigny. In Les
Valettes (on the way to Grand St. Bernard Pass) leave that road and
take the very narrow road on the road direction Champex. You will
get higher and higher up the mountains, driving neverending bends
and really narrow and steep U-turns. Up there in Champex you'll
surprisingly find a nice little lake and a scenery which always
remembers me somehow to Canada (but I still don't know why...)
Descending to Orsières you will enjoy great views from lookouts to
the glaciers and mountains.
Oh by the way – the cache is only some very short 115 footsteps
from the road... ;-)
