Die gut ausgebaute Passstrasse über den Schallenberg ist das ganze Jahr geöffnet. Sie verbindet Oberei mit Schangnau. Ab Mai findet jeden Freitag Nachmittag/Abend ein beliebtes Motorradtreffen auf der Passhöhe statt.

The wide road over Schallenberg is open all year round. It connects Oberei with Schangnau in the Emmental area. Beginning in Mai there motorbiker meeting take place on Fridays (afternoon to evening).
