Geocache Description:

This geocache brings you to The Legacy Of Love Breast Cancer Memorial in Foster Park.

Did you know you could get this deep in to Fort Worth using only trails? Pretty cool, huh? When the Trinity Trails connected to the popular Overton Park trails it opened up a world of opportunity for residents of Southwest Fort Worth.

This geocache is a part of the TRWD Trinity Trails Geocaching Adventure which takes you on a journey throughout the entire trail system to discover hidden gems, historically significant locations and some of the most popular spots along the trails. It’s perfect for families, geocaching newbies and seasoned “cachers” alike.

This beautiful memorial honors people who have been stricken with breast cancer, both those who have been lost and those who have survived. The memorial is located in a peaceful, serene location. Also, it is now becoming surrounded by nice trees and plantings that are not shown on the image below.

memorial

In the center of the memorial is a bench. It was placed in memory of a woman identified by name on a plaque under the bench.

The first letter of her first name on that plaque is your key to the final stage of this geocache. Equate the letter to its order in the alphabet to get X. For example, if her name is Catherine, X would be 3. If her name is Helen, X would be 8.

The final stage is located at N32 41.A28 W097 22.B83, where A=X-4 and B=X-1.

You are looking for a piece of nature that blends in with its surroundings.
mglory used to have a great geocache near this memorial, but it has been archived. There needs to be a geocache here to bring people to this place.

Also, thanks go to martinp13 for the image above.
