The surroundings of Protasovo and Ivanovskoe in the Moscow Region
have always attracted extraterrestrial visitors to the Earth,
according to local folklore. Over the last 15 years, the “Protasovo
anomalous zone” has experienced an unprecedented UFO
wave.
In one instance, the landing of a strange cube-shaped object was
observed by the locals, who even spotted two aliens with big eyes
getting out and heading towards a nearby uninhabited house. In
another, three hunters fired upon a “saucer” that was hovering over
them. Without suffering any visible damage, the saucer soared
upwards and disappeared. One female eyewitness reported that as she
was walking home one day down the road, a cigar-shaped object
followed her for several minutes scaring her to death. According to
Roman D., an agricultural college student, he found something that
looked like a UFO crash site not far from his home. He heard
mysterious voices asking him if he wanted to travel on board a UFO
ship. Roman said no, as he had to prepare his term paper and was
pressed for time. Then the strangers asked him what the term paper
topic was and told him to come back next day at 6:32 AM to the same
place. Roman did as he was told and found a scholar quality paper –
printed out and ready to be submitted – under a spruce tree. The
Protasovo area is remarkable for a high concentration of fungi –
both mushrooms and polypores. One great polypore – a saucer-shaped
growth on the side of a birch tree (see picture #2) – contained a
message with a code:
Teams of ufologists,
cyberneticist and semioticians tried to crack the code, but it
was beyond their expertise. Some suggested that the mysterious
signs might indicate the location of a UFO landing site.
Everyone interested can examine the contents of the polypore
(after the message was removed, the inside of the fungus was
filled in with some trinkets). Welcome! The coordinates above
will get you to where you can park. This cache is cross-posted
on a Russian geocaching site
