This is the first in a series of caches making use of WWII Enigma technology.
Whilst I don’t pretend to be an expert in all things "Enigma", designing this series has helped me to appreciate the complexities of the Enigma Machine and its operating procedures.
Equally impressive were the enormous efforts of the teams of Polish mathematicians during the 1920’s and 1930’s and British code breakers based at Bletchley Park during WWII, to whom we all will be forever grateful.
I’d like to sing the praises of Dirk Rijmenants for developing his impressive “Enigma Machine Simulator” which I discovered by chance and is the inspiration behind this series of caches.
I strongly recommend using the above application to break the codes in this series.
