Geocache Description:

An experiment to test the accuracy of various gpsrs

At the coords you'll find a survey marker placed by the county of Santa Clara. The coords given are extremely accurate and were posted as a part of the California High Precision Geodetic Network densification survey hence the HPGN designation on the survey marker.

Please let your gpsr settle at the marker and post as much of the following info as possible in the format provided below(this is completely optional now):

1. Your best consistent coords for the site
2. GPSR make and model
3. Elevation in feet
4. Number of satellites locked in
5. Number of WAAS satellites
6. EPE
7. Indicated distance from the marker
8. Number of averaged readings
9. Battery Level
10. External Antenna used (Y/N)

I'll compile the data and post reports at various times. There are 13 other HPGN markers in Santa Clara county and I'm sure more in other counties so feel free to add another cache to the series and I'll provide links from this cache to yours.

The cache is a magnetic bison tube about 15 feet southeast of the marker.

Thanks to budd-rdc for pointing out this location!
