Another castle ruin at entrance of the Mátra hills.
The castle was built in the early 1300s by Rátót Domokos to protect the important military road in the valley. Many other castle used to belong this system such as 'Ágasvár' and 'Óvár'.
The peak is and old vulcano so the 'bricks' were those massive rocks that can be found in the sorroundings.
From the top you can see many other summits such as Muzsla 805m (to the south), Nyikom 763m (soth-east), Ágasvár 787m (east) and the Karancs (to the north).
