The total distance is no more than 2
miles and so should be possible within half an hour or so.
Children should love this cache as it passes through the
local
equestrian centre
and surrounding fields, where one can usually see a few horses.
In summer months, you might even be lucky to come across one
of the local dressage, cross-country or gymkhana events.
In any case it's a lovely walk at any time of year.
Unfortunately it is not really suitable for pushchairs due to
a few stiles, gates and a small bridge that needs to be crossed.
It can be muddy in wet periods so boots would be
recommended.
The trail begins close to the railway bridge near the end of
Luckley Road.
Note, the lane
between Luckley Road and Woods Farm (passing Ludgrove School) is
private, and so not recommended for parking!

From here, continue walking east down Luckley Road, keeping the
large house in the fork of the road to your right.

Continuing down the road, you will pass the side of Lucas Hospital
on your right (The only Grade I listed building in Wokingham) and
come to the Wokingham Equestrian Centre. The path takes the
obvious route through here so don't worry, just follow your GPS to
N51 24.091 W0 50.084, where you will see a footpath sign on your
right. Go through the gate that will take you down the side of a
field to the next waypoint.

The cache is a small airtight container with log, pencil and a few
goodies.
Please be careful when
replacing the container so that you don't accidentally make it
unreachable! To return to your car, walk back up to the
path and turn left, thus making a circular walk of around 1.5
miles.
