Geocache Description:


This cache is offset just slightly from the main structure of the partially reconstructed house of Abraham. This was the home of the patriarch of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam before he led his tribe to Canaan.

This site is an easy walk from the more famous ruins of the Ziggurat of Ur. The location is not off-limits and not guarded. It is on the coalition controlled compound of Ali (Tallil) Air Base near An Nasariyah. Please tread respectfully; this is the hallowed ground of some powerful ancestry.

The cache is a baby food jar under a few rocks. I was with a tour group and did not want to attract much attention so I ask that the first finder might conceal it a bit better. It includes a log scroll, pencil, and a few knick-knacks. For more information, visit these links:
