DIRECTIONS information:

In Pelham two bridges are OUT! One is the Abbott Bridge on OLD BRIDGE ST North – the other is the Bridge on MAIN STREET. Both of these bring you into the center of Pelham where you need to be to get to 8 Nashua Rd.

Coming from the south (Lowell area) you can come thru Kearney Square and Bridge St. (Rte. 38) up to the first set of lights in Pelham (see Brooks Drug on the left corner). Turn LEFT onto WILLOW St. (may still have a No Trucks sign) go to the end and turn RIGHT onto MARSH Rd. following to Stop Sign (passing schools on the right and Town Hall/Library/Police Sta. on the left). OR – you can come up MAMMOTH Rd. from Lowell, going to RIGHT at MARSH Rd. and continue as above.

No problems from the Nashua/Manchester area coming west/south.

From Salem NH/Lawrence MA area, come down Rte. 38 from Salem and turn RIGHT onto HOBBS Rd. (in Pelham) to the end, turn LEFT onto WINDHAM Rd. (111A) to Pelham Ctre. (see Fire Sta.) and turn RIGHT onto NASHUA Rd.

Bring “food to share” - pot luck or snacks. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available. Putting geo-names and faces together is always fun so generic name tags will be provided for those who do not create their own.

SPECIAL EVENT CACHES are being planned, and there will be EVENT BUTTONS, one per team. As of this posting there are 14 caches in Pelham; 30 caches within a 5 mile radius of Pelham and 145 caches within a 10 mile radius of Pelham.

TRAVEL BUGS: To facilitate a smooth transfer at the exchange table, please consider posting a note in advance to log in and drop the NAME(s) of TBs you will be bringing. Please take no more than one for each one you bring. You can to sign them IN and OUT on the sheets that we use to answer any questions that arise during the week after the event. And, don’t forget to log in at the meet any late travel bug arrivals. If you have an extra one to drop you’ll allow a newcomer who has none, to grab it to learn about travel bugs and move one along. Log them out on the website as soon as you can, but do allow some time if they were not dropped early.

CACHE ITEM SWAP You’re invited to bring trade items (value about $5.00). At 3:00 p.m. we will start drawing one name at a time for someone who is in the room to pick out an item, then pick the next name etc. etc. We will continue this until all items are picked. Keep it simple, make it fun.
