Geocache Description:

Motorway Mayhem caches are intended to provide fairly easy drive-by caches together with useful “just-off” motorway information for travellers who are in need of a break or seek alternatives to the typical motorway service station type fare and prices. It is hoped this series and concept will grow as other cachers add further caches along the length and breadth of Britain’s Motorways

This cache is part of a series of 4 caches around Junctions 1 to 3 of the M53 on the Wirral. The whole series of caches is:

Motorway Mayhem M53 J1
Motorway Mayhem M53 J2A
Motorway Mayhem M53 J3
Motorway Mayhem M53 J2 The Bonus

All the caches are situated very close to motorway junctions, and can be accessed if travelling in either direction on the M53. The motorway can NOT be exited at Junction 2, rather this leads up the “Moreton Spur” to Junction 2A.

This cache, a small black cylinder (about 1" diameter and 3" long), is behind a pair of posts. On exiting the M53 and going up the Moreton spur, either take the sliproad (signed "Upton (only)"), then having turned left, park in the service road on your right, or go around the roundabout at the end of the spur, up the slip road and turn left, then take the first left for parking.

The log sheet of each of the first 3 caches contains part of the coordinates required to find the Bonus cache. These co-ordinates are also written under the lid of the canister.

There is a FTF certificate for the first person to get to this cache.

Good Luck
