A traditional cache with nice views thats fairly easy to get to and find
This is our first cache hidden, so we are hoping its right. park at the car park N51deg 12.837 W003deg 57.978 pick up a pebble from the car park and start walking (roughly south east) up to the cache. On the way you should come to the top of the hill where there will be a pile of rocks for you to chuck your pebbles on to. then carry on to the cache which is about 100 ft away. the cache when placed includes log book and pencil couple of toy cars a diary 2 key rings a breast cancer aware manicure set (nice little set) 1 whistle 1 pen some cards and a mini silver photo frame. I have always known this place as Holy Mountain, dont know why it's called that or where the tradition of adding stones to the mound comes from (perhaps I dreamt that bit!) It's where people used to go when the country was CB radio mad and used to QSL (you'll know what I mean if you were into CB)So if anyone knows anything about the name of this place or the pebbles thing let us know the cache is in a black bag Hope you enjoy the views then afterwards head east and check out the other caches, 12th Century Trentishoe Church and the Hunters Inn
hi everyone thanks for finding our cache...i will get up there and put it in a more suitable container covering, i may even exchange it for a multi microcache with clues dont know yet. i guess it was easy to find but then sometimes its nice to have an easy life!!
hello again glad people are finding the cache and enjoying the great view from it....cant get out much due to lack of transport and new babies! its time consuming!!!

"Just for information, the real Holy Mountain is the much larger rockpile on the hilltop about half a mile to the west of 'Holy Mountain Hide'. The rockpile there is about 8 feet tall and has a marker stone left by Dr. George King of the Aetherius Society (a UFO religion). This is the mountain onto which you are supposed to place a pebble for luck. The reason this place is known as Holy Mountain is because it is the location at which Dr. King claims to have been visited by an extraterrestrial cosmic energy from Venus (known to some as Jesus, and no, I am not making this up, lol).
Dr. King claimed the contact caused the hill itself to be charged with spiritual energy. As a result Holdstone Down is now a regular place of pilgrimage for members of The Aetherius Society. I lived in one of the houses on Holdstone Down for a while and now live a short distance away in Combe Martin, and have seen gatherings of up to 200 people on Holy Mountain. They come to channel the energy from the hilltop into a container which they then take away with them to be used for the benefit of mankind.
