The name, Cupid's Trail, is suggested by several features along the
way in a beautiful area of Ramsey County. Cupid's Trail is a series
of four multicaches of moderate difficulty (no bushwhacking
required) that may challenge many.
Best parking is along Cty E2 just West of Chatham Ave.
Cupid's Patron Deity
Cupid’s trail will take you to his patron deity. A heavenly jewel,
the morning star is named after Cupid’s patron deity, the Roman
goddess of love. and beauty.
Bring pencil & paper to work out a puzzle in which you
assign a numerical value to each letter of the alphabet (a=1, b=2,
etc.)
To stage 2: To determine the seconds longitude add
the first three digits you see to the seconds N 45 03.360; and
add the last three digits to the seconds W 093 10.703
To the final stageTo determine the seconds longitude (N 45
03.XXX) by multiplying: 214 by the third digit of the
address of the house facing the head of the trail.
To determine the seconds latitude (W093 10.XXX), calculate the
sum of the numerical value of the street name
multiply the sum by ten and add 52. You will want to
back track down to the creek before you take a westerly bearing.
Cupid's Trail #2 is 0.44 miles from first stage to cache.
