Gold Creek Arches Traditional Geocache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Peak Freak: A recent geocacher reported that the bridge where the cache was hidden has been destroyed. It is assumed that the cache was also destroyed along with the bridge.

Sadly, this cache needs to be disabled.

Geocache Description:

This cache is about 1.5 miles in from the Gold Creek trail head. This is a popular showshoeing trail in the winter and the cache was placed for winter access.

Park at the Gold Creek trailhead and start walking. Follow the forest service road 144 as it heads north up the valley, past a lake on the left and through some nice cabins. Take in the impressive views of Rampart Ridge on your right. The cache is roughly near the place where the road meets the foot trail that continues up the valley.

The cache is a plastic box about 7x5x4. It contains a log book and a couple small items (match box cars, light sticks, bouncy balls) for those who like to trade. Please don't bring any too big.

The cache was placed in February so it should be accessible year around. It will not be buried by snow (hint, hint;-).
