Locktenders Backyard Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

hunkahunka: By the evidence we have found, it seems as if this area has been taken over by heavily drinking and illicit material using undesirables. Regretfully, we have no choice but to archive this cache. Thanks to all for visiting.

Geocache Description:

Plenty of free parking behind the Mill St. shopping area.
Walk the path to read about the history of the canal and the locks. Try to ignore the grafitti. The locktenders lived where they worked. The homes were built at the same time as the locks so this crucial employee would be close at hand. The approaching boats could easily summon the locktender to open the lock gate.
The original cache has been muggled. It has been replaced with a black duct taped M&M container, and is closer to the locktender's back door. Be careful when extracting the container. If you detatch it (not recommended) and drop it, it will be lost forever. You will be able to get the log and mechanical pencil from the container without detatching it. Contains log and pencil only.
