Geocache Description:

One of a series of 3 Halifax caches for Sudoku fans.

A series for those who seek a little challenge before leaving home. The coordinates given are not for the caches but for nearby landmarks. To get the cache you must solve the Sudoku and take your coordinates from the squares with letters. The caches contain a variety of teasers, brain twisters and puzzle books suitable for all ages in addition to the log book and pencil. They are family friendly but may be difficult to find if there has been a lot of snow.

There are three caches in this series: one for beginners, GCT7JN , one for intermediates GC1RGNA and one for the advanced GCTVZR.

No calculations are required to solve a Sudoku; it’s pure logic. Every row, every column, and each of the nine 3x3 squares must contain all of the numbers from 1 through 9. There is a unique solution to each puzzle. Those who exploit computers to solve them will have to live with their guilt and shame.

PP#1 is the easiest one.

Actual location of cache is N44 AB.CD0, W063 EF.0GH. It’s an easy, safe walk from the parking lot at the Chocolate Lake Rec Centre across the ball field.
