Landgoed Oostbroek wordt gekenmerkt door een
gevarieerd landschap, zoals Loofbossen, moerassen en een
kloostertuin. Van het oorspronkelijke Benedictijnenklooster, dat in
1580 is afgebroken, is niets meer te vinden. Alleen de kloostertuin
is overgebleven. Door de variatie in landschappen, is ook de
variatie in flora en fauna groot, vooral het aantal verschillende
vogelsoorten is opmerkelijk. Ook zijn op het landgoed voormalige
rivierbeddingen van de Kromme Rijn te herkennen in de drassige
laagtes.
Kortom het Landgoed Oostbroek heeft
aanzienlijk meer te bieden dan alleen het vinden van deze cache.
Vandaar dat de cache zo geplaatst is dat een deel van het landgoed
bezocht moet worden voordat de cache gevonden kan worden. Iedereen,
dus ook Geocachers, wordt gevraagd de flora en fauna van het
Landgoed te respecteren en daarom op de paden te blijven. Met het
plaatsen van de cache is hier rekening mee gehouden.
Voor het plaatsen van deze cache op Landgoed
Oostbroek heeft Het Utrechts Landschap op 14 februari 2006
goedkeuring verleend.
In deze cache ligt de geocoin
"Geocoin Landgoed Oostbroek", althans als die niet per
ongeluk is meegenomen. Deze geocoin
graag in de cache laten liggen; zodat alle vinders van de cache de
munt kunnen zien en eventueel discoveren. Andere geocoins of
TB's kunnen natuurlijk wel meegenomen worden.
LET OP: er ligt
hier een geocoin dief op de loer. De laatste tijd zijn er een
aantal geocoins verdwenen. Het is dus niet verstandig een geocoin
in deze cache achter te laten!

The Estate of Oostbroek shows a varied forms
of landscape, such as broad-leaved woods, swamps and a monastery
garden. From the original benediction monastry nothing can be found
anymore, since it was broken down in 1580. Due to the variation of
the landscape, there is also a variation in flora and fauna. The
amount of bird species is strikingly. The former river bed of the
Kromme Rijn can be recognized by the lower swampy
regions.
So the Estate Oostbroek has more to offer
than just finding a cache. That's why the cache is placed in such a
way that you must visit a part of the Estate to find it. Everybody,
including geocachers, is asked to respect the flora and fauna at
the Estate and therefor not to leave the paths. During the
placement of the cache this is taken into acount.
Het Utrechts Landschap gave permission for
this cache on februari the 14th 2006.
This cache contains the geocoin "Geocoin

Please leave this geocoin in the
cache, so other cachers can also see this geocoin
and log it is "Discovered it". All the other geocoins and
