The beginning and the end of US1 is a must stop while in Key West. Post a picture of yourself with the Mile 0 marker! Enjoy! "PLEASE DO NOT MOVE THE CACHE CLOSER TO THE MILE ZERO SIGN"
This is a simple cache, the only trouble you may have is making the grab without being seen. Make sure to use your stealth mode. This place gets very busy.
This is a micro cache. There are now 2 containers at GZ! Please only put your initals in one of the logs, NOT both. We adopted this cache from Firefighterwookafter it went unfound for 2 years. Please use stealth so that it can last another 2 years! Thanks.
This cache has a fun story behind it. After being on vacation with our friends in the Keys for the week. We wanted to hide a cache. We thought that the mile 0 marker was a must for a geocache and we were surprised there wasn't one already there. So while we were out late one night, we stopped by and had the place to ourselves. We took a moment of searching to figure out where we should hide the new cache. Then, to all of our surprise, we came across an interesting little magnetic container, ........ no way,........ it can't be, .....opened it up.....and yes.....yes it was a geocache! Amazing!!!!! We wondered why it wasn't on our query so we looked it up and realized it was archived long ago with no finds! We were shocked and excited to come across it. So we logged our FTF and now proudly own the cache. It was truly a lot of fun getting this cache.
