The Largest Geocaching Event in Iowa

During Memorial Day weekend (May 27-28, 2006) the Iowa Geocachers Organization and the Winnebago Council of the Boy Scouts of America will host the Ingawanis Geocache Outing at beautiful Camp Ingawanis.

Bring the whole family and stay in one of the group cabins, or take advantage of the virtually unlimited tent camping and RV parking. This event will have plenty of activities to keep even the most active people busy:

500 acres of hiking and wildlife
Over 30 geocaches
Geocaching competitions
Gps games
Archery range
Horse back riding
Over 5 miles of competition-quality mt bike trails
A few others that are not finalized yet

Your registration fee includes tent camping and most of the activities. Cabins, RV parking and some activities have a nominal additional cost. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

There have been some unavoidable delays in getting camp ready for the event. All camping and event activities have been moved to the north part of camp.

Referring to the camp map, RVs will now be parked in the grass parking area near the stable. Tent campers and those with cabin reservations will be in the areas along the north edge of camp and around the swimming pool. The shower house at the swimming pool will be open.

Event activities will be held at the "picnic shelter" near the stable.

These changes will not have a significant effect on the event, except that it is farther to hike from the event shelter to some of the caches.

There is no need to try and change your reservation. We will take care things when you arrive at camp.
