The park, called Brooklands, was the last residence of Daniel Carter Beard. Mr. Beard was the first national Boy Scout Commissioner and was often called the father of Boy Scouting in America.
Bring along a picnic lunch and enjoy it on a picnic table in this tranquil setting. If you have a New York State fishing license, you can go trout fishing, in season, or other small pan fish.
